SurGuard™3 Safety Hypodermic Needles offer Terumo’s T-SharpTM technology.

Designed to cover subcutaneous, intramuscular and intravenous injections, SurGuard™3 Safety Hypodermic Needles offer the necessary quality and supply reliability drug developers need to meet parenteral delivery challenges and product commercialization goals. 

Convenient administration

  • Three-way activation: hard surface, finger, or thumb to suit clinician preference
  • Patented, reliable, hinged sheath design provides an audible, visible, and tangible confirmation of safety1
  • Thin-wall needles available2 
  • Sheath locks to both the needle and hub
  • Finger and thumb grips ergonomically engineered to be suitable for all hand sizes
  • Soft blister for easy handling – as well as for use as packaging, alternatives available upon request

Regulatory and Quality Aspects

  • Color-coding tags and UDI coding on the soft blister enable inspection by camera 
  • Suitable for both Luer slip tip and Luer lock syringes compliant with EN ISO 80369-7
  • Sterilization by irradiation to achieve Sterility Assurance Level of at least 10-6 
  • In compliance with all applicable ISO standards and Pharmacopoeia
  • FDA cleared
  • CE certified: CE 0197
